Helping Shape the Future of Medical Affairs

At MAPS, every standard we set, every resource we develop, and every connection we foster starts with someone choosing to Volunteer for the greater good of the Medical Affairs community. That someone could be you.

Why Your Contribution Matters

For the Profession

The position papers you co-author, the presentations you give, the people you mentor, they all matter beyond the moment. Your insights shape how others think about problems. Your experience gets passed down and built upon. Your leadership gives the next generation something solid to build upon.

For Your Career

When you Volunteer with MAPS, people notice. You build real relationships across companies and countries. You get known for your work and the people you collaborate with today. They might be calling you about opportunities tomorrow.

For You

This is where you work with people who actually understand, who empower you to think beyond the norms and push the boundaries of what’s possible. This helps you stay current and relevant in a field that’s always evolving.

Opportunities to Get Involved

If you have deep knowledge in a particular area, we want to help you share it. MAPS speakers present at annual meetings, lead MasterClass sessions, lead webinars, and develop educational content that reaches thousands of professionals each year. It’s one of the most direct ways to make your expertise count.

Our mentorship program connects experienced professionals with individuals early on in their careers or transitioning from other roles. Mentors offer guidance on strategic decisions, share valuable experiences, and often identify opportunities that mentees may have overlook. The commitment typically lasts about eight months, and many mentors report that they benefit just as much from the experience as their mentees do.
